In Social ServicePandia Rajan’s belief in giving back to life what life has given him, led to the creation of the Ma Foi Foundation, that works towards education for children, empowerment of women, employability and capacity building for NGOs. He is the Founder-Trustee of Sornammal Educational Trust (SET) that runs a school in Chennai for the underprivileged. 3000 children from 120 schools are enjoying their right to education, due to this initiative. He has also promoted micro finance & micro livelihoods through Self Help Groups which has empowered 30,000 women and made a huge difference to their lives. Pandia Rajan is the founder member of the Confederation of Indian Organisations for Service and Advocacy (CIOSA) a forum representing over 235 NGOs in Chennai and is also an active Rotarian. |
