The DMDK party has declared that Mr. K. Pandia Rajan from Ma Foi, will be the DMDK candidate contesting the Lok Sabha elections from the Virudhunagar constituency. Mr. K. Pandia Rajan hails from Vilampatti village in Sivakasi. His beginnings were very humble. He lost his father at a very young age, and had to work in a match factory every day after school, in order to supplement the family income. In school, Pandia Rajan did extremely well in studies thanks to the constant encouragement that he got from his teachers and family. Having secured the highest mark in class XII he got an opportunity to study in the prestigious PSG College of Technology in Coimbatore. He was elected the General Secretary of the Students Union and played a pivotal role the transformation of student policies as a college union member. Having successfully spearheaded crucial movements during his college days, some of which included student movements and movements on the rights and importance of Tamil Language, Pandia Rajan was inspired to consider a career in politics. He later joined XLRI, Jamshedpurb to pursue a post graduation in MBA. His hard work and determination were the key drivers that helped him move from a small village to XLRI to do MBA. While there was generally a huge rush to pursue an MBA in marketing, Pandia Rajan chose to specialize Human Resource Management as he had keen interest in understanding human relations. On completion of his MBA, Pandia Rajan decided to compete with international organizations to prove that Indian entrepreneurs were definitely no less in the global space and had the intellectual capability to make bigger strides in the world of work. His humble beginnings played a key role in shaping him into a determined and courageous entrepreneur who left no stone unturned to bring success in the HR space. He started Ma Foi with a small capital of Rs. 60,000/- . Today Ma Foi employs over 50,000 people and has placed over 2 Lakh candidates across the globe. Ma Foi has over 122 offices across the world and is the largest HR service provider in the country. Pandia Rajan combines his global experience with his local beliefs. An Indian at heart and a global citizen in mind, he started the Ma Foi Foundation, to contribute to the society. Through Ma Foi Foundation he supports the education and healthcare of unprivileged children across Tamil Nadu and has also started a school in the memory of his grandmother- Sornammal. Sornammal Matriculation School, in Chennai, provides education to over 700 children today. He joined Captain Vijaykanth’s party- DMDK so that he can reach a wider circle of people and bring about a difference in their lives. He is the State Finance Committee Member of the DMDK party. His dedication and hard work as a party worker and his belief in bringing about sustainable transformations in the lives of the disadvantaged communities, made Captain Vijaykanth choose him to contest from the Virudhunagar district. Pandia Rajan is keen to contest from his birth place and promises to make Virudhunagar one of the fastest growing districts in Tamil Nadu. He has already established six offices in Virudhunagar that aim to provide employment opportunities for the youth in the district. He also aims to support women to become financially independent by training them in various skills.
